Paul Davis, a twenty-six year veteran of Washington real estate, is Executive Vice President and Director of Business Development and Client Relations, and responsible for all facets of J Street's business development, asset management, client relations and project management services. In this role, he serves the needs of over a dozen third party client owners, including many non-profits, associations, and private domestic and international investors.
Mr. Davis joined J Street in 2010 as the Director of Operations and has been instrumental in leading the effort that successfully increased the company’s fee managed property management business. Mr. Davis rebuilt the property team and implemented new systems and best in class technologies to improve the delivery of services to both existing and new clients. He also led the company’s initiative to branch out into facility management and maintenance-only services.
Prior to J Street, Mr. Davis was a Partner and the Managing Director of Operations for Carr Properties. During his more than three years with Carr, Paul was responsible for all property operations, leading the effort to build a startup service organization. He developed the organizational structure for property management and engineering and led the effort to systematically on-board 26 properties over an eight-month span. He was also instrumental in leveraging new technologies and systems in the organization. He also brought in the AP, IT and Tenant Services/Preventative Maintenance platforms that are still in use today. In addition, Mr. Davis was responsible for hiring both the property management and engineering teams.
Mr. Davis joined CarrAmerica Realty Corporation in 1993 after a seventeen-year career in retail operations management and real estate with Saks Fifth Avenue. His last position with CarrAmerica prior to joining Carr Properties was as Senior Vice President/Director of Operations responsible for the oversight of property operations in the 11 million square foot CarrAmerica metropolitan Washington, DC portfolio.
Mr. Davis has extensive third-party management experience, having worked with clients such as The George Washington University, The American Bar Association, AARP, Siemens, The National Rural Electric Cooperative Association, Lord Baltimore Properties, The Evans Company, Harwood & Associates, The Carlyle Group, MassMutual, Lockheed Martin, and The National Credit Union Administration.
